How much does a consultation cost?
Consultation prices depend on the type of assessment, and range from £225 to £250. The exact fee for your enquiry is confirmed before you're booked in.
Can I book a procedure directly, without a consultation?
No. Every patient is assessed at a consultation first, so Rupinder can confirm what's actually needed before any procedure is booked.
How do I arrange a consultation?
Consultations are arranged directly by The Eyelid Studio or by reception at Leamington Road Dental Practice — patients cannot currently book online, since each enquiry is reviewed first to make sure the right type of consultation is offered.

How do I know if I need blepharoplasty?
Common signs include heavy or overhanging upper-eyelid skin that affects your vision, makes your eyes look tired, or catches on eyeshadow or eyelashes. The only way to know for certain is a consultation, where Rupinder can assess your eyelids and explain your options.
Is eyelid surgery available on the NHS?
NHS blepharoplasty is generally only offered when excess skin significantly obstructs vision, and criteria vary by area. The Eyelid Studio is a private service, so if you'd prefer not to wait for NHS assessment, or don't meet NHS criteria, a private consultation is a faster route to treatment.
Is blepharoplasty painful?
Most patients describe mild discomfort rather than significant pain, both during the procedure — carried out under local anaesthetic — and while healing. Rupinder will talk you through what to expect, and how to manage any discomfort, at your consultation.
How long does it take to recover from eyelid surgery?
Initial bruising and swelling typically settle within one to two weeks, though this varies from person to person. Rupinder provides tailored aftercare guidance and a follow-up appointment as part of your treatment.
Do you offer lower-eyelid surgery?
No — The Eyelid Studio currently treats upper-eyelid conditions only. If your concern is with your lower eyelids, let us know at consultation and we can point you toward an appropriate specialist.

LESIONS, CHALAZIA & SKIN TAGS
What's the difference between a chalazion and a stye?
Both cause a lump on the eyelid, but a stye is an acute, usually painful infection near the eyelash line, while a chalazion is a blocked oil gland that's typically less painful and can persist for weeks. A chalazion that doesn't resolve on its own can be treated at The Eyelid Studio.
Do eyelid skin tags need to be removed?
Not medically, in most cases — skin tags are usually harmless. Removal is generally a personal choice, often because a tag catches, rubs, or bothers you cosmetically.
WATERY EYE
Why does my eye keep watering for no reason?
Persistent watering can have several causes, including a narrowed tear-drainage opening (treatable with punctoplasty), eyelid position problems, or irritation. A consultation can help identify the specific cause and whether treatment would help.
EYELID MALPOSITION
What is entropion?
Entropion is when the eyelid turns inward, causing the lashes to rub against the surface of the eye — which can be uncomfortable and, left untreated, may affect the eye's surface.
What is ectropion?
Ectropion is when the eyelid turns outward, away from the eye, which can affect how well the eyelid protects and closes over the eye.
BLEPHAROSPASM
Why won't my eyelid stop twitching?
Occasional eyelid twitching is usually harmless and often linked to tiredness or caffeine. Persistent or more forceful spasms — known as blepharospasm — can sometimes be treated with botulinum toxin injections; a consultation can confirm whether this applies to you.
DRY EYE / MGD
What is meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD)?
MGD is a common cause of dry eye, where the glands along the eyelid margin don't release enough oil to keep the tear film stable, leading to dry, gritty or fluctuating eyes.
